Nintendo Brings Back NES In Mini Form

Nintendo has announced that Pokémon Go isn’t the only nostalgia the company is hitting us with this year. The video-game powerhouse is bringing back its classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

The NES Classic Edition will be a shrunken version (fitting into the palm of a hand) of the popular gaming console that brought Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Final Fantasy and so many others into our living rooms.

The system will be free of cartridges and come with 30 games preloaded to the console. Gamers will be able to plug the NES Classic into TVs via an HDMI port and (included) cable. The package will also come with a single controller, identical to the original. Additional controllers will be available for multiplayer games.

Nintendo hasn’t announced any online capabilities of the system, but offers a major improvement to traditional game saving. Players will be able to save progress in game, eliminating the struggle of jotting down lengthy passwords between levels.

The NES Classic will be available for purchase Nov. 11, for $59.99. The console’s included games are as follows:
